Manage RSS Feeds

RSS has become a popular technology for bloggers and podcasters to distribute their content.





Here you can Add, Update, and Delete RSS feeds for Content Sourcing.

Add an RSS Feed

In order for the RSS feed to populate your site with articles, you need assign the RSS feed to a certain section. To assign the RSS Feed to a section, simply choose the section from the dropdown menu.

If you do not want to have the RSS Feed assigned to a section, you can use the Keyword feature. To use this, you msut select Keyword in the dropdown menu for the Section. This feature basically gives you the opportunity have an RSS Feed with certain words in it, which section it should populate with articles. You can choose more than one section.

The name of the RSS Feed is simply for you to know what RSS Feed a certain article came from.

To find an RSS Feed URL, you will need to go the website you wish to have the feeds come from to show up on your NewsPortalSite.
To get the RSS feed, you will have to look for the little orange RSS button.


Not all websites have these, but most do.

Once you have found and copied the RSS Feed's address,

By clicking on the Add button you will be able to paste the copied RSS Feed here.

You have two choices of the status of the RSS Feed. If you set the status to Active, then the RSS articles will automatically publish to your site. If you set the status to Archived, then the feed is in a pending state.

Update an RSS Feed

By clicking on the corresponding Update button you will be able to edit an existing RSS Feed.

Delete an RSS Feed

Simply by clicking on the appropriate Delete button you will be able to remove that RSS Feed completely.
